“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
Marianne Williamson
What’s the Reason?
I was reminded of this poem when I was doing some research a few days ago. It really speaks to why we fight so hard in life and I realized we fight mostly against ourselves, against our thoughts and our feelings. Perhaps it’s because no one ever believed in you, or you were told you would never amount to anything, or it’s been so long that you’ve lost your confidence.

What can we do?
Truthfully more people than we realize go through this process every single day. Successful people have to fight the good fight each time they step out. However they begin to understand that the more they take courage , the more confidence they get as a reward. Success is sure to follow!
Fight through your doubts and your fears and if you keep going you will be amazed at what you find out about yourself.
If you limit your choice only to what seems possible or reasonable, you disconnect yourself from what you truly want, and all that is left is a compromise.
